UK: A political party has erected an advertising slogan in my front garden without my permission?

Posted on January 13th, 2012 by admin1 in Political Advertising

for elections

the question is how can get some money out of this situation??

please help

cheers
yes, i own the house and garden!

Let me get this straight, a political party can just go on your property in the UK without your permission? Is it a party you support? Did you once give them permission to do so?
If not, call them and ask them for rent. If it is a party you oppose, and they won’t pay rent, go to an opposing party that you support, tell them, and I promise your plight will be on the news, and possibly in some political ads. You might sue them from tearing up your garden.

This is why people don’t want to vote..

Ring them up, or the council and see what they can do.

Talk to a lawyer, there’s always them few that will try and sue for anything! Go for it.

I’d just rip it down and tell them where to shove it to be honest, but if you can make some bob out of it then do it!References :

Have you mistaken some dog poo for a photo of your local Liebour candidate perhaps?References :

Yeah they are basically implying that you are supporting that party even if you dont.

However if you dont own the land/property then you probably dont have a leg to stand on!References :

Write to the party stating you are going to charge an outrageous rent, take photographs and charge the said rent until it’s removed.

Songbird JPA: why do you feel it’s necessary to mention your religion? You’re posting on Y/A UK where that sort of thing is seen as childish and provocative.References :

You have rights over your land and them putting up the slogan, will have trespassed over your land. If you get a solicitor involved they may be able to gain damages especially if the party is big and dont want to damage their reputation before the European elections.References :

If you are renting you probably don’t have any chance.

Use the web to look up tenants rights – you will have rights to remove it but none to claim for trespass. You have to own the land for that – absurd I know.

The only way I know for that is to injure yourself on the placard and you will need to phone one of these Injuries are Us Solicitors for that. Look it up on the web first.

You cannot deliberately run into it or anything silly like that. You might have a right if you are injured removing someone elses unwanted rubbish from your dwelling. Look it up using a web browser for a legal angle before going to an Injuries are Us Solicitors.

    Be wary for 2 reasons-
    – 1 you will need to prove that you are injured on that placard, ie. GPs evidence is his report and that the injury was done by the placard, or on it. You need witnesses and GPs do not lie.
    – 2 if you are found to have lied or even exaggerated what happened – even this will discredit you in a court and the court will come down heavily against not the amoral canvassers, but you.

Lower class judges, magistrates etc. are the most corrupt even more than Lawyers, Solicitors and your fictional tall story. Beneath respect. Judge John Deed or whatever the TV series was, was fictional, even in the saga he was one in tens of less considerate judges. They are wealthy, live in comparative luxury – they are all prejudiced against those less fortunate than themselves. In such a scenario who do you think they would find victim and who offender?

If you want to discredit the people who put it there call the local press to watch you pull the placard down. They may pay you for a good story. Enjoy yourself and I hope you survive.References :

Are you real ??? You only get 50 pence every thousand years for having an electric pylon in your garden. Why are you not annoyed at the cheek of the trespassing sign erectors. All parties must have a contact number on the sign, by law, ring them up tell them to collect and charge them for the phone call. I would cover the sign on principle so it could not be read.References :

OMG same happend to me it was a big orange one for the conservatives I was furious and left it on the pavement. If I found out who did it I would tell them where to stick that sign!! If you catch them give them a Bolcokin and tell them to piss off and threaten them with legal action. barsteds.References :
